Montana is the 49th state to establish an HIE, and it has experienced a relatively expeditious evolution. Established as a 501(c)3 nonprofit in 2018, BSCC went “Live” with an actual user-friendly interface in December of 2020. As of today, BSCC is providing an array of services to Montana providers. BSCC Core Services include Comprehensive Patient Records, Medication History, Patient Event Notifications, and Direct Secure Messaging.
