Having your information included in the BSCC network can help healthcare providers deliver better care and could save your life. In an emergency, health care providers can use the health information exchange to quickly access your important health records, including allergies, medications, and medical conditions.

  • Yes, your information is protected and HIPAA compliant. The HIE is a modern solution for modern healthcare. With BSCC your data is secure, confidential, encrypted and provider access to patient information is restricted and audited.

  • Being in the network allows your treating provider who may be unfamiliar with your history to access to your health information – like during an emergency or when you change or are referred to another provider.

    Your health records will include:

    • Demographics (age, gender, and address)

    • Medications

    • Allergies

    • Immunizations

    • Health conditions

    • Reports, such as labs, x-rays, hospital admission, discharges or transfers

  • It’s Your Decision

    There are great benefits to both you and your medical providers in being part of BSCC. Your providers rely on current, accurate, and complete information to provide you with quality care. We encourage you to discuss any potential opt-out request with your provider regarding the extent to which you do or don’t want your health information shared, and how your provider can accommodate the request.
